2 months old...OUCH

To celebrate my 2 month anniversary on this earth Mom and Dad were kind enough to take me to the doctor. (Somebody please tell them that this is no way to celebrate.) I weighed in at 14 lbs 1 oz and am 24 1/4 inches long. That puts me in the 96th percentile of all babies my age. Dr. McKenna is a pretty nice lady so I don't mind her poking and prodding much at all but what came next really sucked! Shots. 3 of them. I've never screamed so loud in my life. Mom even shed a few tears it was so bad. We were both o.k. within a few minutes though. Daddy gave me a bath tonight to help make up for my rough day...that always makes me feel better.

Yesterday Gramma Penny came over to hang out with me while Mom and Dad went to pick out stuff for our new house. We had a great time. She even helped me learn a new "trick"! Gramma started blowing kisses at me and I thought that was a pretty neat sound so I decided to try it out. I can't make my mouth look like hers but I can make the exact same sound by sucking my top lip in real hard. It's SO COOL!

Genious, he has no fighting chance given his genes, but I am telling you, he REALLY blows kisses!!! It is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. He kind of sucks his top lip in, and with no teeth it is the funniest thing, then he smacks. After a little practice, he even smiled each time he accomplished it! He is so sweet!

Well Spence, as a public health person, your little shots now that you won't remember will prevent a lot of yucky crud from making you sick in the future.
