From Spencer With Love

Whew, time sure has been flying by! I didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted here. First of all, Happy Valentine's Day to my beloved family and friends. I can't say that I've been up to too many exciting things lately though I've made quite a few discoveries. I've figured out how to blow bubbles on demand and am mastering my hand-mouth coordination even more. My vocal repetoire is expanding and I'm this close to figuring out that sound everyone makes when they think something is funny. I've got a new love -- my own face. Mom was wondering why I wasn't more interested in any of my mirrored toys (I guess the "experts" say I should be) and then she finally looked in one. They distort the heck out of everything! How is that any fun? So she found me one that is both indestructable AND reflects much better. I can stare at that thing for hours! Well o.k., maybe just 10 minutes or so but that's a long time in my little world. I've also go this new thing called a Bumbo seat. It's sort of funky but is supposed to help me sit up and gain new vantage points (whatever that means). I can't quite hold my head up well enough to sit in it unassisted yet but I'm trying!

Mom and I have been busy over the last couple of weeks interviewing daycare ladies. I'm not too happy about that chore since it means Mom will be leaving me to go back to work soon. We've decided on a pretty nice lady named Lydia though. She's even going to teach me Spanish. She calls me funny things like "Papi" and "Mijo" but then again Dad calls me "Scooter Booter" so I don't know which is worse.
